about

Inspired by the Hip-Hop Fusion Band “AREA-301” (in which Robert Harper once was the bassist) comes this compilation of catchy Hip-Hop Instrumental tracks titled “Ride With Me”.

Steering away from the norm (when it comes to bass players releasing solo albums) Robert sets out to indeed take the listener for a ride using various sound effects, heavy drum patterns, and solid bass grooves.
Each track employs suggestive narratives throughout that are strategically placed to ensure you get a mental picture of what Robert is conveying in these Instrumentals that contain very little or no vocals at all.

For a bassist releasing a solo album Robert has truly stepped into uncharted territory, but with the profound skills of Maryland based Producer/Drummer (Mark “Showtime” Brown) at the helm Robert’s visionary idea has been birthed into a reality. This is a great concept,
very humorous and uplifting at a time when people could use a little lift.
